<p>The course includes coffee on arrival, camera set up, focus and composition technique tuition as we work around the House &amp; grounds.</p>
<p>After a sandwich lunch, we will look into more creative photography using aperture priority in the rose garden or on the terrace, followed by an exclusive opportunity to photograph in the House State Rooms.</p>

Fabulous sunset views, drinks on the terrace, light bites, Twilight Tours and live piano music at Harewood.</description><article><![CDATA[<p><img class="imageRight" src="/_imagebank/orpheus_sunset009_1.jpg" alt="Orpheus Sunset on the Terrace" width="200" height="215" />La Nuit des Mus&eacute;es was introduced by the French Culture Department in 2005 to succeed Printemps des Mus&eacute;es, and takes place on the Saturday nearest to International Museums Day (May 18).</p>
<p>This event is supported by the Council of Europe and UNESCO. In 2009, more than 2,500 museums in 41 European countries took part.</p>
<p>Museums at Night will take place during the weekend of Friday-Sunday 14-16 May and the Europe-wide celebration will be on Saturday May 15.</p>
<p>This year Harewood will be taking part for the very first time.</p>
<p>Join us for an evening experience of sparkling chandeliers, twinkling lights and special interest tours and workshops.</p>

See power, traction and stunt kite displays, Europe&acute;s largest selection of Monster kites, giant teddy bears and inflatables. Bring along your own brave teddy bear for the Harewood parachute drop!</description><article><![CDATA[<p><img class="imageRight" src="/_imagebank/Dogs.jpg" alt="Kite Festival" width="200" height="277" />A fantastic day with Kites of all colours, shapes and sizes taking to the air at Harewood.</p>
<p>Don't forget to bring your teddy with you for the teddy bear drop which will take place twice during the day.</p>
<h4>Parachuting Teddy Bears</h4>
<p>Returning to Harewood this year by popular demand are Caroline and Jerry Swift with their team who will be operating two parachute rigs. Bring your brave bears to perform this certified parachute drop. The bears will be fitted with a suitable chute and hoisted high using one of Swift&rsquo;s many kites. Through an ingenious release mechanism the bear then floats gently to earth.Volunteer bears receive a certificate noting their bravery.</p>
<h4>There will be spectacular displays throughout the day from...</h4>
<p><a href="http://www.wigsleywings.org.uk" target="_blank">Wigsley Wings Kite Dsiplay Team</a> - An eight person team who attend kite festivals around Europe and who have the largest selection of Monster kites that can be seen anywhere. They will be bringing to Harewood their collection of giant teddy Bears and other inflateables.<a href="http://www.skyartists.co.uk" target="_blank"></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.skyartists.co.uk" target="_blank">Skyartisits Kite Display Team</a> - An eight person team who are the kite organisers of this event. They have a large collection of giant Kites from all corners of the world and some of which are made by team members and are unique.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kitecollective.com" target="_blank">Kite Collective</a> - The Bindon family, Daz Smith, Karen George and Dave Holt (commentator) bring their fantastic selection of kites to Harewood.</p>
<p>The Lincoln Loonies - Team display of power and traction kites with buggying, boarding and man lifting from a kite, very dangerous...don&rsquo;t try this at home!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.team4mation.net " target="_blank">Team4mation</a> - From the north of England a Revolution quad trick stunt kite team who perform amazing sequence displays to music and invite you to attempt to fly one of their four line kites if you dare.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.dhkites.com " target="_blank">Dave Holt</a> - Our commentator for this event is Dave Holt, a world renowed kite designer/maker and a member of Kite Collective (see above). Bringing to you his vast knowledge of kites through his commentary over both days at Harewood.</p>
<p>Graham Lockwood (One Man, 3 Kites) - Graham is one of only a few men in the world who can fly three stunt kites at the same time in ballet sequence to music, be amazed.</p>

<h4>About the route</h4>
<p>Set just south of the Yorkshire Dales, this is a beautiful walk through rolling countryside, along riverside paths and forest trails. As a Pink Ribbonwalk participant you gain free entry to the grounds of Harewood House, one of the Treasure Houses of England and explore some of the surrounding private land that you have exclusive access to. All your supporters will be offered discounted entry to the House and grounds.</p>
<p>Leaving Harewood House, walkers head south into Piper Wood before following a section of the Leeds Country Way. The 20 milers walk north through the picturesque estate with views over the Wharfe Valley. We pass the village of Harewood and follow the river valley through meadows and woods and join the Dales Way, then onto Eccup Reservoir.</p>
<p>Here, on the shores of the reservoir the 10 and 20 mile walkers meet and walk together for the rest of the route home through the village of Eccup, following the Dales Way trail and the quiet country lanes west of Harewood.</p>
